Class Curriculum
FAKANAM Green School specializes in curriculum design and has therefore designed most parts of its curriculum in combination with the American and the South African curriculum for pre-school children.
Designing a curriculum for babies aged 3 months to 1 year is all about nurturing early development in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. At this stage, learning is primarily sensory and emotional, with milestones in motor skills, language, and social development unfolding at each child’s own pace. This age group thrives on love, repetition, and gentle discovery.
Core Focus Area
- Sensory Stimulation: Activities that engage sight, sound, touch, smell, and movement
- Motor Development: Supporting both gross (rolling, crawling) and fine motor (grasping, clapping) skills.
- Language Exposure: Building receptive language through songs, baby talk, and reading aloud.
- Emotional Bonding: Creating secure attachment through responsive care and cuddles.
- Social Awareness: Gentle group experiences to promote recognition and interest in others.
- Environmental Studies: Exploring nature, caring for plants and animals, learning simple eco‑friendly habits like recycling and saving water.

Mats, mirrors, and age-appropriate toys.

Picture books, fabric books, or puppets with gentle storytelling.
Nap Time
In a calm, quiet space, respecting each baby’s sleep rhythm.
Outdoor Exploration (weather permitting)
Blanket picnics with fresh air.

Communication
Daily notes or photos sharing naps, feeding, milestones, moods. Monthly updates on emerging skills and suggestions for home.
